The idea behind this project was to get people talking more about the issue of racism in football. The result was these beautifully designed shirts that celebrate footballers from different cultures. The icons on the shirt are from iconic footballing moments players have brought to the game. By wearing the shirt you are making a statement that you don't stand for racism. The hope is by wearing it those who partake in racist behaviour will stop themselves when they see someone wearing the shirt as they know it won't be tolerated. It will give others around them the confidence to call out racism as they will be in a safe space to do so.
To go with the shirt there would be an informative booklet which gives ways of how people can educate themselves about racism and what they can do to help end it. The booklet also contains short pieces of writing talking through these famous footballing moments, this is here to help us remember all the wonderful moments all cultures have brought to the game and to celebrate these people.
